Let me suggest a powerful meditation mantra. The word: Shalom. Peace. I used it today in various ways and found it to be a delicious entry into a yummy meditation.
I began the vibration with the mantra "om" -- and then "Shalom" -- and alternated back and forth between the two words:
One breath: Om
the next: Shalom
Then I broke down the word Shalom into three parts:
Shhhhh --- to quiet the mind
Awe -- which speaks to the heart
Lom -- which sends a vibration for the body.
Play with these three pieces -- do all three in one exhalation, or three exhalations. The purpose of this mantra and the ensuing meditation is to unify the mind, body and spirit. The result of this unity is Shalom.
It is beautiful day to sit on a bench or under a tree and practice this mantra.
